Life Goes On

The boy-child is now a high school graduate and is preparing for fall semester at East Carolina University. So much to accomplish in these few short weeks before he's required to start classes!! I've also been busy with my business, and actually signed another client today. So exciting, especially since they are located in North Carolina. The girl-child and Officer Boyfriend are preparing to move into their very own cozy apartment next weekend. Lots and lots of changes going on around here.
I managed to make it through the graduation ceremony without tears, although at senior last assembly two nights before I had a hard time holding them back. Visions of a skinny little boy, all arms and legs, curious and exploring everything kept popping into my head as I watched my over 6ft. tall son march into the auditorium. Hard to believe that squeaky voiced little boy has turned into this deep voiced young man. Not that he's all grown up mind you, he still need prodding to try to get all of his college paperwork in order.
I'm excited for my daughter's new changes in her life. I remember how important moving into my own place was. It's definitely one of those 'grown up' moments in our lives. And I've managed to deal with it quite well.
Of course, come August when my apartment is empty after 3+ years of a full house it might seem really strange....
