What's that Ticking?

Labor Day Weekend. Someone complained today that many of us view this weekend as the unofficial end to summer. And while it's true we still have several weeks before the Summer Solstice is really over, sadly I've found from experience that the things that make summer 'feel' like summer come to an end after today. The kids are back in school, vacations are over for the most part and if you live here in Maine, the nights are already feeling cooler and the leaves are changing color. Many of the summer beach areas will close or cut their hours back because the tourists have gone home. So regardless of what is official, it really does mark the end of summer here.

For me it adds a feeling of panic. My plan for the past few years has been to move back to North Carolina before Thanksgiving of this year. With my son now settled into his college digs in Greenville, NC, I'm truly anxious to get myself moved. I'm sure if money were plentiful it would be a relatively easy thing to do. After all, I don't have to find a job there like I did last time, now that I'm self employed. That's a huge relief. But finding a place to live and getting myself and my things to NC is an extremely scary task for me right now. I can't afford to have a moving company pack me up. I also can't afford another trip to NC in order to find a place to live. What's a girl to do?

So as August turns into September,my anxiety level is growing. The ticking of the clock sounds way too much like a ticking time bomb.

PS. On a positive note...September means FOOTBALL. And I've finally changed to the 'new' blogger templates, mostly so that I can use a third party software to compose blog posts for not only Princess Girly Girl, but my business blogs as well. Not sure I'm going to like it....
